Now and then a forecourt reports a price that can't be right, like 299.9p when everywhere nearby is around 170p. We now spot prices that are far higher or lower than the rest of the area and mark them with a yellow !. You can still see the number, but we don't use it to pick the cheapest station, work out local averages or make comparisons. Tap the ! to find out more, and check the sign at the pump before you fill up.

The green, amber and red pins on the map show which stations are cheaper or dearer than the others on screen. Before, one wildly wrong price could turn almost every pin green. The colours now ignore extreme prices, so they show the real spread of prices near you.

Some forecourts, like Costco, only sell fuel to members. Their pins on the map now carry a small M, next to the existing "Membership" label on station pages. On the county price map you can also tick "Exclude membership-only forecourts" to see averages and cheapest stations for places anyone can fill up.

Added a public page showing how many UK fuel stations FuelFox tracks, how many have prices today, how many were added in the last week, and where prices have stayed the same longest. The page refreshes daily.

Every county page now shows a colour-coded map of its local authority districts (LADs), with the average price for Unleaded (E10) per district. Greener districts are cheaper than the UK average; redder districts are dearer. Tap or hover a district to see its average — handy when only part of a county is running cheaper than the rest.
