FuelFox
For UK retailers

Want your forecourt on the map?

FuelFox lists every UK forecourt that wants to be listed, at no cost to the retailer and no contract. Two routes in: send your prices straight to us, or publish to the gov.uk Fuel Finder scheme and we'll pick you up automatically. Whichever's easier for you.

Already publishing to gov.uk? You're probably already on the map — email us with your forecourt address to confirm.

Two ways to list

Pick the path that fits your setup.

Most independent operators don't have engineering resource for a JSON feed. The direct-submit route was built for them. Larger operators usually want the gov.uk scheme because it lights them up on every UK fuel-price product at once. Both are no-cost to retailers; both put you on the same FuelFox map.

Easiest start

Submit prices direct to FuelFox

Email us your forecourt address and current prices. We'll set you up with either a simple admin login (update prices in a few clicks when they change) or a CSV drop if that's easier. No JSON, no scheme registration.

Best for

Single forecourts, small chains, retailers who change prices once or twice a week.

Best for visibility

Publish to the gov.uk Fuel Finder scheme

Stand up a JSON feed at a URL you own and register it with gov.uk. Every aggregator (FuelFox, Confused, PetrolPrices, etc.) reads from the same scheme — one publish, every driver app sees you. We'll help with the schema if you don't already publish.

Best for

Retailers who want to be visible on every UK fuel-price product, not just FuelFox.

Not sure which? Email us with your situation. We'll tell you straight — including if direct-submit is wasted effort because you're a single forecourt under a brand that already publishes for you.

What you get

Visibility without strings attached.

Free, optional, no contract. The point is to get more cars to your forecourt — not to lock you into our ecosystem.

On the same map every driver uses

Your forecourt appears on the live UK map alongside every chain that publishes prices. Drivers searching for the cheapest pump near them see you with no pay-to-play promotion — you rank purely on price and distance.

Free, forever, no per-station fee

We don't charge retailers to be listed. We don't charge for premium placement. We don't surface advertised stations above cheaper ones. The product would stop working for drivers if we did.

Two routes in — pick the easier one

Already publish to the gov.uk Fuel Finder scheme? You're probably already on the map. Don't have a JSON feed and don't want to build one? Submit your prices to us directly via spreadsheet or our admin form. Either works.

You own the data — always

Your prices, your forecourt, your control. We're a reader and surface — never a marketplace you've signed away rights to. Stop sending updates tomorrow and we'll show drivers the last price we saw with an honest age caption, then drop it from rankings. No lock-in, no contract, no exit fee.
Common questions

What retailers always ask first.

If yours isn't covered here, drop us a line — we'll add it to this list and email you back the same day.

  • Do drivers actually find me through this?

If you publish a competitive price, yes. The FuelFox map sorts by the cheapest pump in the user's area for their chosen fuel grade — you appear in that ranking the same way Tesco and BP do. Independents that publish honestly often outrank chain forecourts in the same postcode.

  • What does it cost retailers?

Nothing to be listed. gov.uk doesn't charge to participate in the Fuel Finder scheme, and FuelFox doesn't charge retailers to surface their prices. Our revenue comes from the developer API and fleet reporting — neither touches retailer listings.

  • I don't have anyone technical. Can I still list?

Yes — that's exactly what the direct-submit route is for. Send us a spreadsheet of your current prices and we'll set you up with a simple web form. Update the prices when they change on the pump; we handle everything else.

  • I already publish to the gov.uk scheme. Am I already on FuelFox?

Almost certainly yes. We re-fetch the gov.uk index regularly and pick up new retailers automatically. If you're publishing and you're not appearing, send us your forecourt address and feed URL — usually it's a small schema mismatch we can help fix on your end.

  • Can I pay to appear higher in the rankings?

No. The product breaks if we sort by anything other than price + distance. We won't take that money. If a retailer asks, we say no in writing.

  • What happens if I forget to update a price?

We keep the last price you sent us visible with an honest 'Updated X ago' caption next to it, and exclude the station from the cheapest-nearby ranking after two weeks of silence. Direct-submit retailers get a reminder email if a fuel grade has been silent for a week.

Send us your forecourt details.

Tell us your address, your fuel grades, and how often prices change. We'll come back inside a working day with which route fits and what to do next.

Independent forecourts and small chains welcome. Branded chains and supermarket retailers are usually listed automatically through the public gov.uk Fuel Finder index.
